Microplastic Status
We could not fully establish everything OceanSaver Cleaning EcoDrops Multipack is made of, or its materials (plant-based surfactants, essential oils, mineral salts, PVOH dissolvable pod) sit in a class where the published evidence is genuinely mixed. "Lower concern, caveats" is not a signal that the product does shed microplastics — it means we could not get far enough to say that it does not.
How we assess products
We work from published information; we do not lab-test, and a verdict here is never a claim that we have.
"Lower concern, caveats" is not a signal that the product does shed microplastics — it means we could not get far enough to say that it does not.
About This Product
Based on available ingredient data, OceanSaver EcoDrops use plant-based cleaning agents in a dissolvable PVOH pod — a water-soluble synthetic polymer. The EU microplastic restriction exempts polymers that dissolve, but the ASA upheld complaints against OceanSaver's own "plastic-free" and "zero microplastics" claims, ruling the exemption is not evidence the film is harmless. Rated lower concern with caveats per our methodology. Read our full OceanSaver Cleaning EcoDrops review.
