Based on available ingredient data, OceanSaver EcoDrops use plant-based cleaning agents in a dissolvable PVOH pod — a water-soluble synthetic polymer. The EU microplastic restriction exempts polymers that dissolve, but the ASA upheld complaints against OceanSaver's own "plastic-free" and "zero microplastics" claims, ruling the exemption is not evidence the film is harmless.
